COMMON OPTIONS

1. COLUMN REMOVALS

  • Create double or triple bay openings for a large machinery access area with no columns.
  • Typical opening sizes with column removals are 12m, 16m or 24m

2. CUSTOM TAPERED GUTTERS

  • Get all of your stormwater delivered to central points for piping to your collection tank.
  • Custom tapered gutter has a sloping base, no water pooling.
  • Eliminate the need for trenching and underground pipework to your tank.

3. CANTILEVER CANOPIES

  • Extra storage and working space without the interference of columns.
  • Shelter your major doorways.
  • Roof cover for your apron slab.

4. TRUSSES OR UB RAFTERS

  • AUSPAN typically designs our roof structures using open web trusses.
  • UB rafters are also an option if preferred.

5. SKYLIGHTS / INSULATION

  • Skylights provide natural lighting into a shed.
  • Insulation to roof or walls or both is possible.
  • Typical shed insulation is 50mm Blanket Insulation which is installed over safety mesh in the roof and/or walls.
  • Other insulation options include thicker blanket insulation or even cool-room panel cladding.

DOOR OPTIONS

1. BOTTOM ROLL SLIDING DOORS

  • Smooth rolling Industrial door system.
  • All door weight is supported on the bottom via a concrete strip footing.
  • Bottom track is installed in replaceable sections for ease of maintenance.

2. TOP HUNG SLIDING DOORS

  • Used for openings where a bottom track is an interference.
  • Shearing shed loading doors.
  • Grain shed doors where a loader bucket needs to scrape across a door opening.

3. STORM LOCKS

  • Storm Locks are a unique AUSPAN option for extra security for your shed in serious weather events.
  • Bolt sliding doors down to the ground and increase structural locking to the top of doors.

4. PERSONAL ACCESS DOORS

  • P/A doors are used in most ‘enclosed sheds’ for simple and easy access to a shed.
  • No need to open your big doors every time.
  • Sliding doors are mostly locked from the inside so a P/A door is required to successfully access the door locks.

5. ROLLER DOORS

  • Perfect for medium sized openings up to say 4.5m(w).
  • Can be motorised.
  • Can be upgraded to Industrial Roller Shutters.

VENTS, SHUTTERS, WINDOW OPTIONS

1. RIDGE VENTS

  • Continuous ridge vents are a great ‘fixed’ ventilation option for allowing air to escape through the ridge of a building.
  • Allows air change/flow through a building that has inlet ventilation or door openings allowing air to enter the building.
  • Size options from 150mm to 900mm.

2. WHIRLY BIRD VENTS

  • Whirly birds are a common roof ventilator option.
  • Do have moving parts so not recommended from a maintenance point of view.
  • Actively ventilate approx. 150m2 of floor area.

3. WALL VENTS

  • Required to meet air change requirements in sheds like Chemical Sheds.
  • Wall vents act as ‘inlet’ vents for air to enter a building before exiting through the ridge.

4. WALL SHUTTERS

  • Custom made wall shutters are mainly utilised in shearing sheds.

5. WINDOWS

  • Windows are common where a farm office is being set up inside a shed.
  • Allows areas to be opened up for light and air to enter.

  • Great way to achieve extra storage.
  • Commonly used for parts storage above and office/lunchroom fitout below.
