Rodney Allen farms 5,000 hectares in Ogilvie, approximately 500km north of Perth, growing wheat, lupins and canola.
All of Rodney’s machinery was being stored and worked on outside in the elements, which with the harsh weather conditions experienced in the northern area of the Wheatbelt, was less than ideal.
After careful consultation with his AUSPAN Salesperson Nev, Rodney increased the size of the proposed shed not once but twice to future proof the design, with the final dimensions totalling 48x28x7.5m. The new shed now has two doors on either side so he can drive straight through, plenty of clearance to not only drive the machinery in, but also to fold out the machinery once inside, as well as additional machinery storage at one of the ends.
Extra flashing above the double track sliding doors track to minimise the opening
"The overall experience we had with AUSPAN was a really positive one, right from the initial consultation through to the planning, the building, right through to the finished product was a really good process and really positive experience".
RODNEY ALLEN | FARMER, BANKSIA PLAINSOne of the things I enjoyed most about working with Rodney was that he was open to the suggestions I made with regard to increasing the capacity of the shed, and it was great to see he was so happy with the end result.
