Located in the Port of Geraldton, Dongara Marine partnered with AUSPAN to design and construct a purpose-built industrial facility to support the expansion of its growing marine manufacturing business. The completed 32m (W) x 40.66m (L) industrial facility provides durable, weather-resistant protection for vessel construction while supporting efficient in-house manufacturing, improved workflow and future growth.

Protecting product quality from exposure to harsh coastal conditions

Dongara Marine required a facility that could withstand the harsh coastal environment while supporting the growth of its boat manufacturing operations.

Constant exposure to salt spray and coastal conditions required durable materials and a carefully engineered design capable of protecting valuable assets while maintaining consistent boat production.

The Solution

A custom-engineered turnkey facility designed for strength and expansion

Drawing on extensive experience in industrial design and turn-key construction, AUSPAN delivered a purpose-built 32m (W) x 40.66m (L) boat building facility tailored to Dongara Marine’s operational requirements.

To improve maneuverability and support future growth, the facility incorporates custom-engineered 13m-high overlapping front sliding doors, creating a 20m-wide opening, enabling efficient movement of large boats in and out of the building.

Delivered through AUSPAN’s local WA design, manufacturing and project delivery teams, this project was managed from concept and engineering through to completion, providing Dongara Marine with a streamlined delivery process and a single point of accountability throughout.
