AUSPAN INFORM JANUARY 2024

24 January 2024

Happy New Year everyone, and welcome to the AUSPAN Commercial Inform for January.

Our Commercial team are primed and ready for our biggest year yet, with plenty of exciting projects currently happening across the state, from Bunbury to the Thunderbird Project 90 minutes north east of Broome, and many in between. In this month’s Inform we’ll visit a couple of projects that are in progress and check out a recently completed project in Kalgoorlie.

Offroad Trucks in Forrestdale

videosnap-00002-1

Let’s kick things off in Forrestdale where work commenced at our Offroad Trucks site in July 2023 with bulk earthworks and block clearing. Since then we have poured approximately 2500m2 of ground and suspended slabs, along with 52 tilt panels totalling 850m3 concrete in total. Another 160 tons of structural steel and purlins has been erected, along with the tilt panels, to form the main structure of the building, equalling 5000m2 floorspace and another 8500m2 of external paving and hardstand. Looking forward we will be starting fit out this month with a view to completing this project and handing it over to our client in the second half of the year.

New Facility Site in Forrestfield

From Forrestdale to Forrestfield and our CJD site, where we began in July 2023 with the clearing of the block and extensive stormwater works to make way for CJD Truck’s newest facility. This new building will consist of 600m2 of two storey offices, 2,836m2 of workshop and warehousing, 460m2 of cantilever awning, a 225m2 stand-alone enclosed truck washbay, 4,675m2 of external concreate hardstanding and 1,500m2 of external asphalt carparking and driveway.

We have finished pouring the last of the 64 tilt panels onsite, and the erection process is currently underway. With over 1,200 Tonnes of tilt panels to be lifted in the coming weeks, these will form most of the workshop, wash bay and office walls. After the panels are stood, you can really see the building start to take shape as the rest of the structural components are added. This project is tracking well on time and on budget and we look forward to providing another update in the coming months.

Completed Projects For Kalexpress

kalexpress2

While it’s always great to be able to provide you with reports on how our client’s projects are progressing, we find it’s especially rewarding to report on completed projects. This month we head to Kalgoorlie, and a name that has become synonymous with WA transport and logistics, Kalexpresss. Since it’s inception in 1995, Kalexpress has experienced strong growth to the point where they had outgrown their Kalgoorlie depot, and after being impressed with the progression of another AUSPAN project that he’d regularly drive past, Kalexpress owner Tim Sullivan decided to give AUSPAN a call. Make sure you check out the short case study below and follow Tim’s journey from initial challenge through to success.

So that’s it for this edition of the Commercial Inform. All the best for the rest of the year and we look forward to getting back in touch in April!
