Hi everyone and welcome to the third edition of the AUSPAN Commercial Inform for 2023, and welcome to the start of the new financial year!

You could say that for the Commercial division of AUSPAN, 2023 is a year of two halves. From January until now we’ve had several commercial projects moving through their preliminary stages to many of them having now broken ground. This is exciting for the team as it means that for the second half of the year, we’re going to see these projects really take shape. Speaking of our socials, after some time in the marketing wilderness, our YouTube channel has been getting a little TLC lately, thanks to the newest member of our marketing team, Emily. AUSPAN LOGISTICS - KATHLEEN VALLEY

AUSPAN’s internal capabilities include steel fabrication & logistics so you can imagine we’ve constantly got trucks carrying lots of steel all over WA, but last month we had a particularly large shipment going to the same job on the same day. For those of you that aren’t aware, a popular place for road trains to assemble is 265k’s north of Perth at Wubin.

Here you can see footage of our drivers Raja, Darren and Dave as they leave Wubin and arrive at the Liontown Resources lithium mine at Kathleen Valley, which is located another 630k’s north east of Wubin. Some fun facts about this shipment are that the 90 tonnes of materials on the road trains is some of the steel, cladding, and purlin materials required for three buildings that team AUSPAN are constructing at the site.

1,852M2 OFFICE WAREHOUSE IN EAST ROCKINGHAM

And now let’s take a look at some progress reports that have taken place since the last inform. This was some footage we took of our ‘Cable Jointing’ site in Rockingham at the end of May.

Since then we’ve finished pouring all of the tilt panels, and then we’ll be commencing erecting the tilt panels towards the end of this month. Upon completion, this project will incorporate 1,085m2 of warehouse floor, 183m2 of mezzanine, and 584m2 of two storey offices.

3,100M2 BULK STORAGE FACILITY IN GERADLTON

We took this footage in early June of a 3,100m2 bulk storage facility our International Logistics site in Geraldton.

Since then, we’ve completed half the cladding with the rest due to be completed by the end of this month.

1,700M2 OFFICE WAREHOUSE IN BUNBURY

Heading south to Bunbury now, and these are some images taken last week of our Direct Freight Express project, a 1,700m2 warehouse with office and amenities.

5,240M2 INDUSTRIAL PROJECT IN FORRESTDALE

And finally, here’s an updated walk-through of Off-Road Trucks project that we expect to be completed in about 12 months' time.

We’ve got a 2,000m2 workshop, a 2,200m2 warehouse, and over 1,000m2 of offices for a total of 5,240m2 of industrial development. We can’t wait to see this project, and the others we’ve covered, progress over the coming months!

CASE STUDY: ROHAN WARR ON DONGARA MARINE

And just in case you missed the post on our socials last month, this is a great chat we had with Rohan Warr, Managing Director of iconic WA boat builders, Dongara Marine. Recently we built not one, but two production halls for their new Geraldton facility, as well as offices, storage, washing and parking facilities. If you’re looking to build a new commercial building anytime soon, then we’d definitely recommend you check out this video.
